Freelance Music Specialist - Workshop Leader
Role Brief – Summer/Autumn 2025
Introduction & Background
Moonstruck Astronaut is a not-for-profit community theatre company based in Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire. Our mission is to bring local communities together through inclusive theatre projects that promote friendship, creativity, self-expression, and a strong sense of belonging—starting with children and young people, and growing to include adults over time.
Between 2021 and 2024, we ran Drama in the Forest school holiday workshops at Wrekin Forest School and ran the Newport Youth Theatre. In 2025, we’re relocating to Telford Town Centre to launch Telford Tall Tales, a new theatre and storytelling programme supported by an Arts Council National Lottery Project Grant.
As part of this programme, we’re looking to engage a freelance Music Specialist who is excited by community arts, enjoys collaborating creatively with children, and is confident working as part of a multi-artform team.
